Educator Renewal Application

 

Have you read the Accreditation Guidelines ? If so, you may proceed with the application process and download the renewal application below. 

The Educator Renewal Application is a PDF form that you will fill out on your computer and submit over the internet.  Here are the steps you will follow.  Please read carefully, then begin by clicking the download link at the bottom of the page.

  1. The application form requires the software program Adobe Reader.  This is free software that may already be loaded on your computer. However before you begin, you must make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader, which is required for our form. You can easily update or install the software by going to the Adobe site here and following the step-by-step instructions on their site.

  2. Once you have Acrobat Reader software updated on your computer, you are now ready to begin our application process.  Download the application by clicking on the yellow link at the bottom of this page.  The download may take up to a minute or more.

  3. When the download is complete, the application should open automatically in Acrobat Reader.  If it does not, then you will need to open it manually (to do this, look in the folder where your browser downloads files, and double-click on the document titled “acaret_renewal.pdf”.)

  4. Once the renewal application is open, save it your computer (In the upper left corner, choose FILE, then choose SAVE AS... ).  Please save the file with your name, last name first, with no spaces or other punctuation (example: SmithJoe”).  Make note of WHERE on your computer you are saving the document so that you find it later.

  5. Read the instructions on the first page of the application and begin filling it out.

  6. Remember to save the Application OFTEN while filling it out. (In the upper left corner, choose FILE, then choose SAVE).  Because you can save your work as you go, you do not need to complete the application in one sitting. When you have completed the application, SAVE your work one last time.

  7. When your renewal application is complete, make sure you are connected to the internet, and then click the ‘SUBMIT’ button at the bottom of the last page. You will be taken to the ACARET website where you will upload your completed application.
